Yasmin Madjitey, has always had a very keen interest in environmental issues and this informed her decision to undertake a research project on the impact of plastic waste in Nima, a suburb of Ghana’s capital, Accra, for a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Economics from the University of Ghana in 2015.

With a burning desire to learn more and more best practices in advanced economies and go ahead in the field of Environmental Development, she is presently taking her Master’s degree in Green Economy and Sustainability at the University of Ferrara, Italy. She believes that the field of Environmental Sustainability is very interesting as well as challenging and is of immense importance. She therefore, wants to pursue a career in this field for her personal development as well as interests in playing roles in the society to achieve environmental and sustainable development.
