LUCIA DAL NEGRO

I got my Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, major in International Development and Cooperation, in 2006 at the Catholic University of Milan. My dissertation focused on the recovery of the Srebrenica community after the genocide of 1995. I got my Master’s degree in 2009, with a dissertation investigating Nestlé-Nespresso’s sustainable coffee farming projects in Costa Rica (field-study sep-oct 2007). From 2009 to 2010 I attended the Second Degree Master in Environment and Human Development: Governance, Education, Scientific Knowledge, at the  High School for Environmental Studies (ASA) of the Catholic University, campus of Brescia. My project work was developed at the UNEP/Wuppertal Institute from September to December 2009. At the end of 2010 I got a scholarship to attend a PhD within the Political Science Doctoral School of the Catholic University of Milan (obtained in 2013). In 2011 I moved to London where I got a MSc in “Environment and Development” with Merit, at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). From October to December 2012 I spent three months as a visiting student at ENDEVA (Berlin) where I incubated De-LAB (the first and only Italian BOP lab) launched at the end of 2013. From 2016 to 2018 I worked as Head of Social Innovation and Communication Dept. within a manufacturing group based in Brescia. During such experience I contributed to win the “Procurement Award – Ethical & Sustainable Practices” in both 2016 and 2017, the Award “Culture + Enterprise” in 2108, and to transform the company into a B-corp (first ever in their industrial sector).
